Your Fan Fiction

Ah, fan fiction. For the most hard core nerd (be it comics, tv shows or animu) this is the ultimate past time: fantasizing about your favorite character's adventures for all to see (and suffer from if you suck).

Has anyone tried their hand at this past time? Does anyone have their own fanfiction laying around in the hard drive of their computer? Does anyone dare to show it with us? And can anyone tell be why I keep asking so many questions in succession?

I ask to see how talented you yaoi-fearing-manly boys really are, and to see if I can use your talents to further my evil.

I used to I wish I could show some of you my work but it got lost but I am fixing to do it again it was Pokemon but it was a funny one some say it was better then the real Pokemon series

I've got an unfinished Sonic/Phoenix Wright crossover story lying around somewhere. I probably would have finished it if not for the fact that whenever I write, I always can picture exactly what I want in my head, but then find it impossible to properly transcribe on paper.

Has anyone tried doing fanfics for more serious anime, like Ghost in the Shell?

And what techniques do you guys use when writing these things, as opposed to regular fiction writing?

I've currently finished two fanfics. I've written a few poems and extra items for Sailor Moon also.

The oldest (and the most error ridden) is my Sonic The Hedgehog fanfic. It took me a good 4 years to write, and you can actually see this in the writing. It is a little better updated, since I took the original short story and rewrote it as the first four chapters of this story and then went back one more time and fleshed those chapters out. I also have an on-going Sailor Moon fanfic storyline. I've completed the first book and am still working on the second book. I haven't actually worked on the story much since I entered college partially because I started work on other interests and also because I just haven't figured out what to do next and how to explain things that happened. I don't know if I'll ever go back and actually finish it or not.

If you are up for a long read that is. I still find it odd how the 2nd book is perhaps only half way finished and yet it is almost as long as the first book. But that also goes to show how my writing has changed since I began the project. Due to the nature of fanfiction, and that I released chapters once they were written I actually never went back and re-wrote anything. Perhaps if the opportunity ever came to actually publish I might.
