I have been using a very handy site for many of my anime music needs:

This site is essentially a blog of people posting their own playlists of their songs. The music is streamed on and played like in any music player. You can't download the music at all, but it streams pretty quick and the quality is usually good.
You have a great number of regular songs from regular bands, like Linkin Park, Incubus, Britney Spears, etc. Being an anime board, however, we should be interested in the fact that there is quite a selection of just about any anime song out there.

Beware that sometimes there are file errors and corrupted music files in there, but they won't harm your 'puter. Spelling counts in searches and getting one thing wrong will get you nothing (it's "Fly me to the Moon" not "Fry me to the Moonn"). And sometimes they just don't have your song (I will never be able to find the full song of the El-Hazard Opening, "The 13th Month Revolution" by Fence of Defence, or a working file of "Puzzle" by ROUND TABLE feat. Nino).
But sometimes you'll find surprises from the Japanese bands of your fave animes. So if you're not as web-savvy as Gabe or just don't want to sit for half-an-hour downloading a torrent (like me) you can check this out.
