yea building closed even if power is back now the admin staff at the UC is using this as an excuse to close early and stiff us on our time while saving money not keeping the building open.
I'll be having words with the Building people next week

personally, I'd like to have words with Edison. Why is it that RAIN is causing power outages?!?!?!?! I drove all the way up to the school just to find that shit out when I get there, and I was looking forward to plugging up my PS3 and watching some Gunbuster on Blu-ray!

i'm thinking this was also because of the work being done at HFCC, either that or the UC staff planned to screw us over......................

Nope. The fact is that one of the power lines went down and the transformer exploded, so they wanted to get everyone out to avoid fire risk. Still, it was kind of a ****ty move not letting anyone outside of the school know (they STILL haven't sent out an e-mail blast yet), inconveniencing everyone, so I think it'd be fair to petition for an extra hour or so. No sense being TOO obnoxious about it, though, since it's not exactly like they could have seen this coming.
