I have had both versions of the psp so far, there is a new one coming out with the model number 3000. If you are getting a new psp, I suggest you go with the new one, why not? As for downloading games, there are several 3rd party sites/forums that have made emulators for old games and have actual psp games for free. Playstation itself doesn't offer any full retail games for free. If you wish to buy any old games for psp, you need to do it online thru playstation or the online store thru a PS3. The PSP has NO sd card capabilities. It uses something called a Memory Stick Duo and Memory Stick Pro Duo made by Sony. If you want free games, you need a rather large Memory Stick Duo, you'd probably need the 4GB one, which can get rather pricey. I'm not sure about the specific games you mentioned, you'll have to search around. If you don't have wireless internet, you can not go on the internet or play online on your psp. You would need to go somewhere that has wi-fi like starbucks or mcdonald's to use the online capabilities. I recommend all the Grand Theft Auto games, the Metal Gear Ac!d games, and the Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops games for psp, they were all really good IMHO. I think it is worth getting if you like the games available to it. Otherwise I recommend an iPod for you music and videos, and I recommend just using free PC emulators for your classic games. I had a lot of fun with my psps in the end, but I ultimately ended up giving my brother one and selling the other. But I know a lot of people that really enjoyed it as well. I hope that helped.
