Although I would like this thread to be for general discussion of melty blood, I do have a quick question.
Are we going to start some sort of tournaments for Melty Blood. I would really like to do so. As I mentioned, the North East Champion said that he would be willing to come if we were to do so. I think it would be very cool to play against him. Would game club be the one to host this, or because it is aimed around an anime/manga/H-game should the anime club do it?

Hmm, maybe I should start playing that game too, considering how fairly few players we have...
The reason (other than it being a PC game with different controls) that I'm apprehensive in joining in is because I'm more into 3D console fighters like Soul Calibur, Dead or Alive, or Virtual Fighter. I've played a little of Vampire Savior and Marvel vs. Capcom, with matches usually ending with my animated ass being violated repeatedly by 25-hit super combos.
Still, got any sites for any newcomers to the game?

The gamee s designed very well, it bascially makes it so you can't combo someone to death. You should pick it up though. We need more people to play it regularly.

The way they balanced the game is that even if you get a 999 hit combo, hits after the 40th or so don't do much damage.

It is set up more like anything after 20 is virtually pointless. You get can some decent combos making 15-18 different hits (without uber hit specials) without suffering too much damage. As none of the people we play with get that many hits, it really isn't a problem anyway.
