Apparently, Funimation sent them a cease-and-desist letter telling them to stop subbing the episodes.
While, I'm disappointed that the subs are ending, I can't help but feel pleased in a strange way. This at least shows that Funimation is looking into getting the licensing rights for the series, if they haven't gotten it already. I wouldn't be surprised if they announce their acquisition at Otakon...
(Here's hoping they keep the dub cast from the first three seasons instead of the ADV cast or an all new one.)

Here's hoping Right stuf get's the license and does a nice sub as main track version.
Also Luke it's more likely that any cast funi would get would be more like the ADV one since they draw from the same pool, in texas.
Also Otakon was last weekend............

and for the record i'm getting sick of Microanime wanta be funi getting all the good stuff and leaving the crumbs to the little guys.
this isn't my usual funi rant, and i'm just fine waiting to finish Slayers R, i've waited ages to even hear about it so no problems here. I just don't like the idea of one huge monolithic anime company.

damn, guess I'm gonna have to stick to just watching the RAWs then.
Oh well...
Though, if it was funi who sent the cease order, then they have the rights. They legally can't do it unless they have the rights already.
Either way, I at least better recognize Lina and Zel's voices.

At the very least, I don't think Zel's voice will be an issue since Crispin Freeman voiced him in both Central Park's and ADV's dubs. The real deciding factor is whether Lina Ortiz or Cynthia Martinez plays Lina.
...I REALLY hope it's the former.t
