First I remembered what Mike said about us using a title called "Not Porn" for some kind of story. Then I was thinking about what I saw in episode 0 of Haruhi when I had an epiphany.
To promote the club and as an activity, I was thinking about doing a gag movie starring us in the club. Here's the set-up:
Title: Not Porn
Synopsis: Two guys meet in a room to fight a duel using a Yu-Gi-Oh!-esque card game. The game itself is played more like Magic: The Gathering (in fact, Magic cards will be used as props) but will have the same outrageous set up of Yu-Gi-Oh! The monsters and cards that are played are actually various anime characters using their various talents and clips from animes are used showing their various actions, variously. Stupid costumes, pithy comments from narrator and over-dramatic poses abound. Weird bullshite happens.
Characters:
The camera guy: Like Kyon from Haruhi. Except American.
The Homophobic Villain: Guy in white long coat. Penchant for waving arms dramatically when drawing cards. Did I mention that he has a neurosis when it comes to sodomy?
The Straight-Shooting Hero: Guy in long black coat.
Very serious expressions. Vaguely aware at how absurd everything is, but won't back down in a fight.
Setting: The student organizations room. Or someplace where we can throw people and things around.

What do you guys think? It's gonna take a lot of work (and I dunno how to play Magic, so we're gonna need to work on our choreography). But I think it might work, if we have the time...
