Another succesfull trial today. We also got End of Eva shown to Mike and Chow for the first time while Luke was at class. Tues at 1:30 PM seems to be the best time for this. We will probably continue to try and show it friday before club also.
So far for the next show we have
Baccano! - Justin Tengn Toppa Gurren Lagann - Luke Macross Plus - Chow Kaze no Stigma - I believe Mike wanted this one.
Give me your suggestions for the next show guys. If there is only 4 things to chose from then we would have missed out on a lot of possibilities. I may have to give everyone two suggestions just to get more options out there.

Let's see...in terms of series length by episodes...
26 (Gurren Lagann, not counting the recap special) 26 (Bacanno!) 24 (Kaze no Stigma) 4 (Macross Plus) 80 (total)
Hmm...given that we can get through three to five episodes each Tuesday and Thursday, and probably even more on Fridays, we could probably get through around ten or fifteen episodes in a single week. So given that, I'd say that we could get through all of those in 6-8 weeks or so. But then again, I suppose there's always a possibility that we'd want to watch a different series in place of one of those.
For the time being, though, let's just get through Evangelion (which we should be able to wrap up by the end of next week, if not sooner), then we can worry about what comes next. (Keep in mind that I have a few complete series on my external drive, though I doubt any of them will be popular choices...)

We might not be able to do this every thursday because I need to get TCG events going on Thursdays. But I only plan to have those everyone other week, so we could watch anime every other thursday. I also have Haruhi which I know Chow and Mike haven't seen; they really should too.

Yeah, we can easily get Haruhi finished in less than a week. We'll probably end up showing Season 2 as well once it airs over the summer, I assume...

since we'll be finishing up Eva soon, I am gonna let everyone know that Tegen Toppa Gurren Lagann is being showed next. Out of the four people that have watched more consistantly, I asked 2 people what they wanted to watch next other than the anime they suggested. Both said Gurren Lagann. Now I am also putting my vote for Gurren Lagann. 3/4 is a majority. And you suggested the anime Luke, I assume you are happy with the desicion.
Well this going to end up being a bunch of comentaries with Luke and me. As we are the only ones that can be there almost consistantly.
Every once in a while we get other people watching. Why just today Pabian and I were talking about Haruhi. Lo and behold we ended up putting on an episode (12 to be exact). After that some people wanted to see it from the begining. Jacob seemed to really enjoy it. So anyway, I we show anime, people will come to watch.

"If you show it, they will come..."
But anyway, I'll have TTGL ready for next week. Spin on!

How long of a series is Gurren Lagan? Could we finish it in a week? I'm still looking forward to it!
And I know that this seems a little early, but what do you guys think we should watch after it? After seeing how we blew through Eva and Haruhi so quickly, it might be good to have a little plan ahead.

Gurren Lagann is 26 episodes (27 if you count the recap special) plus a 1/2-length OVA. After that, I assume we'll be switching over to Baccano!, which is also 26 episodes. If we don't miss more than one of our three usual viewings each week, we'll get through both of them by this time next month. Therefore, I wouldn't worry about it too much; we'll get it figured out once we're halfway through Baccano! or so. (I'd bring my Bo-Bobo DVDs, but those only cover the first eight episodes and the files I have are lower quality and dub-only, not to mention that I doubt anyone's going to want to watch anyway.)

Wait, WHAT?! I could have sworn that I heard it was 26...
Looks like we'll have to pick something AFTER we finish TTGL, because we'll have Baccano wrapped up within a week.

Everyone put your suggestions in for after Baccano! I might ever ask Joe what he wants to watch, as he has been sitting in on them.

I was thinking of suggesting Kashimashi as the next thing after Baccano!, but after thinking about it for a while, I'm not sure if every one would be able to stomach more than one episode of that thing, yuri undertones not withstanding. I'm reading some of the manga on One Manga already, and I just think that some of the stuff is a bit creepy more than anything else.
With that, I'll cast my votes for two other things:
Chrono Crusade: if anyone has the DVDs. It's one series that I have been meaning to watch for a long time. Shakugan no Shana: another show that I have found interest in. Being that Firemage has the DVDs, this may be the most viable solution.
