Fall Line up in the Works

Okay well we're now in June, and for most of you Fall term seems a far way off, for me since i'll be gone for most of July Fall term looks only 2 months away.

So it's time to start planning out our fall line up
First lets look at new and upcoming shows.
These shows will come out during "Summer" Season starting this July.

If you vote for any of these shows for the line up, i might suggest not watching them this summer and waiting till i show them at club.

Now here is the short and still forming list of fall shows, that start out in October.

Now as we have a few shows to wrap up from last term anyway, we can full time for the month before any of these shows start.

Remember we have 4.5 hr to fill so thats about 9-10 episodes if we work it right.

Also in consideration are older shows, but i wanta keep away from more recent shows that EVERYONE has seen already, even with good shows it just turning into food run time.

So if your suggesting/providing an older show give a good reason why people will stick around for it.

No, you show older shows that people have not seen. Everyone will be watching the ones currently airing. You need to show Spice and Wolf, I am probably the only person in the game and anime club that has seen it.

It is something that different from the usual stuff you show. I would suggest trying it out. If no one likes it after a couple of episodes you could take it off. Of course, in you really want to make me happy, you should start showing more episodes of fewer animes. If you show too many animes from the current season I have nothing to watch on my own.

currently i have a 196 episode backlog on fansubs alone, i'll get to spice and wolf when i get to it.

also i'm not saying no to more recent shows, but as examples, TTGL you guys have seen it all at least 3 times by my count, or as an older example EVA that even i've seen 4+ times over.

if you suggest an older show it will be judged with the same respect as newer shows, but i'd really like to keep the line up fresh and new.

New to the group is fine. But if it is new to everyone in the world because it is currently airing I am going to be against it.

New Slayers is a must, and despite the whole "children's card game" thing, I'm also liking Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's so far. At least most of the duels are less than an episode long.

In fact, if we're looking for older stuff, I highly recommend Yu-Gi-Oh! Season Zero, back in the days when Yami was a psychotic madman who essentially tortured his opponents and sent them into a never-ending swirling torrent of pain and anguish. (And most of the time, I might add, without using trading cards.)

Aside from that, I'd be willing to contribute my Noein box set and the 8th One Piece movie to the cause. Plus, now that I'm actually starting production again, by the time we start the semester I should have a whole backlog of new Sonic F episodes ready that we can show as some sort of bonus thing.

I would like to keep away from stuff on US TV.

Also i was planing on using my "President's" slot for Slayers but if the group wants Slayers i'll use it for Seikeri..............

Also consider stuff from Winter/Spring Seasons that we may have not got around to.

5D's isn't on US TV, Season Zero never made it out of Japan, Noein finished its run on Sci-Fi a long time ago, and not only is OP itself currently on hiatus, but the movie has never been shown on TV (though it did get a brief theatrical run). And of course, since I'm the one who makes Sonic F, I'm pretty sure I'd know if it was being shown on TV or not.

Thus, I see no potential problems.

Slayers (as someone who watched slayers among his first animes and owns both the dub vhs and sub dvd, hell and high water will not stop me.)

Sekirei (good manga + nanoha production team = win)

Macross F (Hot blood + more hot blood + mecha + music + romance + some lucky star & clannad voice cast + did i mention hot blood + Macross is the basis for Robotech one of my "Gateway titles" =a very good choice)

That still leaves most of the slots open.

And for Fall nothing much annouced yet
I'll be Watching Gundam 00 S2, but history shows i really should not show Gundam at club.
Maybe Haruhi 2, but that is one of thous shows that would take an act of congress to keep off my list.

Gurren-Lagann Movie - Not even out yet
Rebuild of Evangelion 1.0 You are Not Alone - Everyone need to watch this.

I am against Haruhi season two until I see it myself. I don't know if it will be worth watching twice.

FMP-F falls in the shown already list, as does Kanon 06 even if it didn't get finished. Eva Rebuild and other movies/ovas will make good fill for pre-fall season slots. Things that have aired state side already should be considered with a bit of salt, as they still might fall into the "everyone has seen already" or at least that with "almost" thrown in there.

Also Luke this is a discussion, besides Slayers 4, which i don't think people are goinga argue about, i was giving my own ideas for discussion, i'm aloud to speak my mind too.

Another Movie for consideration would also be Type-Moon's "Garden of Sinners" given the number of Type-Moon fans in the group.

There is nothing wrong with showing stuff people have seen, as long as they want to see it. However, you will never know what everyone wants to see unless you ask them personally. No one will post on the forums. If you want my suggestion, compile a list from everyones suggestions then have people vote.
