Looks like ADV's no longer interested...I'd say this increases its chances of being broadcast on Adult Swim exponentially. Also, from what I've heard, it's going to be an Ocean-based dub. And if it's Ocean-based, that means there's a chance that Kamina will be played by Scott McNeil. And that would achieve a level of awesomeness so great that the universe may very well implode as a result.

Shesh, but doesn't this seem like a waste of effort on ADV's part? This means that we won't see Tiffany Grant as Yoko either - I was totally up for it! And I was hoping to hear Amanda Lee for Nia too!

www.rightstuf.com/rssite/main/news/individual/;jsessionid=mpCODd82lryLI7oUz7lpaQ**?ForumThreadName=FT0000000402&ReturnTo=MainYES GOOD GOD YES Because of the overwhelming desire by fans to have this title released, Bandai Entertainment Inc. will create a subtitle only initial release of the series in three parts. Vol. 1 of the sub only release will contain episodes 1-9 and be released on July 8th for $29.98 with a pre-sale occurring the weekend of Anime Expo 2008. Vol. 2 and Vol. 3 of the subtitled only version will be released in August and September respectively. In early 2009, an all new English dub version will be released with Japanese audio and English subtitles with both a regular and special editions. More details on the 2009 release pattern and spec will be announced later this year.

what show bandai ent or bandai visual usa?
edit - also i think bandai ent wants to snub their annoying over charging counter part by releasing an anime how the fans want. ie High episode count.
Ya know i'm torn on the Code Geass sets, or my reading might be off, i think that the collector's box comes with manga cd and a drama cd......... anyone else get that reading?

Of course, the biggest upside to Bandai getting the series is that the chances of Kamina's sunglasses and a Core Drill being included extras just shot through the roof.

GPX Cyberformula... bandai ent... quality almost as bad as ADVs Sailor Moon release... no video/audio enhancement... one reason it wasn't as bad is because Cyberformula had a larger budget.
Also, one draw back to having many episodes on one disk... LOW QUALITY VIDEO FOOTAGE...
I'm not really sure why fans want more per disk other then they are just cheap (considering how many have to be convinced to BUY it) but IMO, I'd settle for 4 eps and high quality footage over tons of eps and low quality footage any day.
And no, this isn't just because I use the DVDs as source footage. If I cared that much about the quality of my source, I'd get the R2s anyway.

I know bandai has had issues in the past, but honestly it seems if their making a point to improve.

kinda a late follow up on my part by in ADV's defense on the sailor moon front they were chained to the DIC source material, meaning they had shit to work with.
