Hey, I can see it working just fine. Besides, I like the idea of an actual live-action GITS instead of just the matrix stealing multiple scenes/shots from the original.

I'm not too sure about this, and this is from the guy who's optimistic about the live-action adaption of Evangelion.
Ghost in the Shell is a great series and it would be very interesting to see what kind of story this adaption is gonna have (remember, GITS has many alternate story lines and time lines).
It's interesting to note that I don't see you two pissing and moaning about this; normally anime fans are pessimistic about the idea of their favorite anime being Americanized and crapped into American theaters. Why so confident?

Well Gits is more standard in nature than eva or even speed racer/dragon ball. It is a type of scifi that americans have done right in a non corny manner.

Seriously. Have you SEEN just how many shots the Matrix movies "borrowed" from GITS? If they could make it look good then, they certainly can do so now.

only issue i might bring to light, is that the stupid critics might say gits copies off matrix, kinda like how disney copies off others
