This is a promo trailer for an American version of Sailor Moon, back before the anime dub was released when Toei was shopping around for American distributers, done by a company called Toon Makers, Inc.

this lost all of it's hold on me like well over 10 years ago... when I first saw it, downloaded it, and kept watching it... over and over and over again....

While I'm glad Saban didn't get ahold of SM... I'm still not pleased with what DIC did to it... same goes for my being part of S.O.S.

Again, this thing was being produced by a company called Toon Makers, Inc (Never heard of them? Neither have I!), it was only mistaken that this adaption was being made by Saban.

Still, I couldn't stomach that video for more than two minutes; the attempts at political correctness is just revolting (and insulting)! It was like looking into a window of some bizarre dimension where Sailor Moon ended up being forced out the colon of an Olsen twin. Did anyone notice the girl confined to a wheelchair, apparently made to look like Sailor Mars? Or the girl who looked like she had a horse's face as Sailor Mercury? Or the fact that the song said that the characters were 16, when the actresses didn't look a day over 40?

In the end, this thing was pulled off the board only for practical and budget reasons! So did the almighty dollar save the day? Or could things really have swung the other way?

Actually, since you pointed out the wheelchair ridden one, whom seemed to also fight in a wheelchair yet for some reason could actually spin full 360 without having to pop the wheels during the random hallway dance scenes?
