Well not really anime, but it's mecha so close enough for my tastes, but on June 24 sometime in the midday/afternoon i think with our kin in the Game and Video Game Clubs, we should go see this movie as a legion.
Who's up for that?
(ed note proper times will be decided on as we get closer and have show times.)

Transformers
and honestly the reason for my timing was more because i have morning class - eg midnight showing = too late for needing to be up for 8 am class the next day.
also it's been awhile since i've gone to the movies so.... cost doesn't always register.

And I must object, Gabe, as Transformers can technically be considered anime. The original toyline was based on entirely seperate Japanese toyline from Takara known as Diaclone (specifically their Car Robots line), which was later licensed by Hasbro for American release and revamped as Transformers. In addition, with the exception of Beast Wars, Beast Machines, and the Michael Bay movies, every Transformers series has been animated in Japan, with all of them except for G1 and Animated being produced there as well. Heck, there's been a bunch of TF shows that never made it out of Japan that cause their interpretation of the Generation 1 timeline to become severely different from ours. (Their joke dubs of Beast Wars and Beast Machines don't help things either). And if you want to be REALLY picky, Revenge of the Fallen just had its world premiere in Japan last week. ...yes, I'm a HUGE Transformers nerd. Ask anyone. |

Hey, could someone change the title of this thread. The acronym TF is both akward and kinda weird. I mean something like T:ROF fits way better than TF. Unless there is a Team Fortress movie in the works in which we have a whole new thread.

yeah, that confused me as well. But not just on the Team Fortress part (cuz I'd expect to see TF2) but on the fact that TF is the acronym for Transformations, which tend to be a little too NWS for Gabe.

All I know is that I'll be doing the midnight premiere regardless of whether we end up doing an outing, and aside from working 9-5 every weekday, my schedule's pretty lenient, so I'm flexible for whenever we'd want to do this.
