Okay as everyone who looks at my desktop well knows i have a folder i call "Gabe's Stuff" It contains my image collection, music, AMVs, and assorted other things.
I have maintained this folder since i first got windows 95, and it has been my MEGA folder over the last 10+ years. Moving with me from computer to computer.
Now the folder has reached the size of 60 gigs, 15 times the size of the first harddrive it rested within.
The largest Sub folder is my AMV folder, Clocking in at 15 Gigs 1/4 the size of the folder itself. (yes Nate i know that's really quite small)
The Question is should i sepereate the folder from the "Stuff" folder or keep it as one large uber folder.

Delete all the pr0n in the folder; that should help clear some space. But seriously, does it really make a huge difference? It's not like you'd be deleting it all; just changing the directory. Besides, wouldn't moving the files mess with your media playlists?

True; however, if you move your AMVs, they'll no longer be recognized in your playlists since it can't locate the source file, so you'll have to manually re-create any AMV playlists.
If that's not a concern, though, then go ahead and do whatever you like.

Actually, you can always open the play list file in a text editor (like notepad) since they are just text files. Then all you have to do is search/replace.
Thats what I do every time I have to move PCs or burn my box and raise it from the grave.
Deleting all the pr0n wouldn't make much of a dent in space for me (though I keep them in different folders.) While there is a lot of pr0n out there, there is a lot more non-pron out there.
