www.animecons.com/events/info.shtml/1463Hmm...this could prove interesting. If my plans to head to Cincinnati for BotCon '08 (which would also be AWESOME) don't work out, this would be a nice alternative.

I've heard of this one, glad it moved out of Troy and to someplace more local, far more local *looks out window at the location*

What do you think? A potential club activity for November, or should we pass it up?

Given that it's in our "backyard" we should look into it.

And apparently, so will Lemon Demon of "The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny" fame. Nice.
Hopefully, I'll be able to come up with a good cosplay or finish the T-shirt I'm designing by that time...

I almost has a really good Bo^7 costume, but it's impossible to find triangular shades and an afro that's just the right shade of yellow. The shirt, pants, and shoes, though, are no problem.
I guess I'll just go with Plan B, though: a T-shirt with Megatron slipping on a banana peel and chibi-Starscream happily shouting "MEGATRON HAS FALLEN!"

That's it...It's perfect...I know who I'm going to cosplay as...Now I just have to work on my "OBJECTION!" *sly grin* Anyway, I did some more research on Youmacon, and they've had a pretty awesome list of attendees in the past... 200520062007If the final lineup of guests for this year is anywhere near as extensive, this could be VERY interesting... And on that note, maybe I should post a link to this on the Game Club forum as well since they'll be having Video Game, TCG, and Role-Playing events. Edit: DAMMIT, the language filter keeps breaking the link for the Spoony Bards website!

heh, no MT, kinda funny given their michigan roots, they should have a michigan local.
I had you pegged as going as L.......................... gomen I'd hold off on telling game club, there are enough issues over there due to the reorg, as is.

Actually, if I could get a wig, I suppose L would be pretty easy to do...
Sure, why not?

hi, I'm a DH for Youmacon, I've been in charge of AMVs since the beginning. I strongly recommend heading out to the con this year, especially since it is just across Evergreen ^^ A fact I too am very fond of, considering I live in Taylor There are 'reasons' we've been unable to acquire Fred and well, I can't disclose those. It's not because we haven't tried ^^() We hold staff meetings out in Steerling Heights every Tuesday, and I would be more then happy to facilitate some communication between the con and the club (one of our other DHs helps out with UofM Flint's anime club.) Just thought I'd put out the friendly word ^^

Ooh, fantastic. Having that kind of insight into what's planned for the con could REALLY help with organization. If we can achieve some sort of communication between both groups (and possibly even U of M Flint's and Ann Arbor's clubs), I'm all for it.
*resumes work on my AMV entries*
